Krystle Johnson

Krystle Johnson is a San Diego Native with Bachelors in both Psychology and Sociology. She also has a Masters in Education! She is excited to be the support teacher for students at San Diego Virtual Schools.

Ms. Johnson loves finding ways to make education interesting, fun, and accessible to every student. She is passionate about students advocating for themselves, helping students to figure out how they learn best, and transitioning them into being successful learners wherever they go. Her goal is always to create students that will be passionate, creative, and life long advocates for themselves all throughout their lives.

When she’s not with students she reads and listens to audiobooks then cuddles with her dog Frankie at home. She also loves to travel and has a goal of going to all 50 states!

She has yet to find a popular song that she cannot turn into whatever subject a student is learning at the time and hopes to one day create a YouTube channel dedicated to those songs. Here are some of her favorites right now:

Katrina Torgersen

Hi, my name is Katrina Torgersen and I work with our Special Education students at San Diego Virtual School as well as tutoring our students who desire in person assistance at local libraries. I love being able to work with our diverse group of students and getting to know each of them. It’s an honor to be able to watch them grow academically and personally.

I graduated from Sonoma State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. Since then, I have been living (back) in San Diego and loving it! I have always loved being able to work with kids whether it was being a camp counselor, nannying full-time, or working in education. In my free time I enjoy being at the beach, camping, and listening to Taylor Swift. I can’t wait to meet all of you!
