Biology A Unit 1 Activity: The AIDS Epidemic w/Ms. Gardner

Please join Mrs. Gardner as she discusses the lab requirement for ALL Biology and Chemistry students. She will discuss what was sent to you all via email: Please note that your science class has a REQUIRED lab component. For those considering going to a college/university...this lab component satisfies the "D" requirement for the UC A-G requirements. In order for you to obtain the UC A-G designation on your transcripts, you are required to complete a minimum of 2 labs (either virtual or in-person)...meaning that if you do not meet that requirement, you will not receive the designation and your science class will not be used towards your credits for college/university.  You can satisfy this requirement one of two ways: complete the online virtual labs that are already built into your science classes; OR...attend in-person hands-on labs. You will NOT do both. I understand that there may be days you cannot attend a live lab and will need to do a virtual lab in your class and vice versa. That is fine. Your requirement is 4 labs per semester (Biology) and 3 labs per semester (Chemistry). Here is an example of how it works: If you attend in-person lab #1, you will NOT be required to complete the virtual lab #1 in your science class...and so on.
