When considering online schooling, finding appropriate after school social activities can be difficult to consider for some families at first. At San Diego Virtual School, we are committed to providing a robust experience for all students.  Like traditional schooling options, we also provide a number of field trips and activities for students in all grades.

Get Involved Today

We want your child to be involved in their education, have the opportunities to make friends and be engaged in what they want to learn more about. A student that is engaged and involved in a variety of different aspects of education is the one that will learn the most. While every student learns at different speeds and through different methods, we want to provide as many different avenues as possible for educational learning. For many students, being able to get out of the “classroom,” even if that classroom is their bedroom or a library, and into an interactive environment can really help them to feel more engaged and interested in their education.

Variety of Field Trips

We want to provide the most comprehensive list of social activities that your children can participate in. The activities that we introduce and foster at San Diego Virtual School will vary from year to year and season to season. Below are just a few examples of what we have planned and continue to schedule when available.

  • San Diego Zoo
  • Centennial at Balboa Park
  • San Diego Natural History Museum
  • San Diego Symphony
  • Museum of Making Music
  • Open Mic Night
  • And more!

Extracurricular activities enable students to make friends, develop leadership skills, foster new interests, and experience different activities that aren’t possible at home or in a traditional schooling environment.

Visit our After School Programs page for a comprehensive list of available labs and programs.

At San Diego Virtual School, you won’t need to worry about your child missing out on after school program activities. While traditional schools begin to slim down on field trips and extracurricular activities, we recognize these kinds of inter-social activities as an important part of education.

Do you have a suggestion for different kinds of middle school after school activities? We are always looking for ways to improve the educational experience for all of our students. Give us a call and let us know what you would like to see your children engaged in.
